Sabalenka was born in Minsk. Sergey was a hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born on May 5th, 1998, in Minsk Belarus. She holds 12 WTA titles throughout her career. This includes the Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. Additionally, she's a fantastic doubles player she has two more Majors to this area, the US Open 2019 and the Australian Open 2021 won both with Elise Mertens. With Mertens, the Belgian tennis player, she won WTA 1000s in Indian Wells in 2019 and Miami. Only four women's doubles couples achieve this feat. Her ranking went from second to third on the singles world rankings on 23 August 2021. The highest ranking she achieved was again achieved in the month of January in 2023. In doubles however she pushed herself to the top of the list at the beginning of February that year following her victory in Melbourne making her the second tennis player from Belarus to make it in the sport of doubles. She was trained by an ex- Russian tennis star Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the end of the season in 2019 and partly at the beginning of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann was her trainer from August through September 2020. She is being trained by her native nationman Antonio Dubrov since the end of 2020. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova are her greatest idols.
